AI Gaming have intern positions available in between every academic term that run from as little as a week, to covering the entire summer break. Graduate Software Developer


We are currently looking for Software Developers to join the AI Gaming team at our Head Office in Oxfordshire.

Job descriptions

Are you a full stack developer? We need to keep pushing the features and functionality of our AI Gaming website forward and we're looking for talented full stack devs to help us do it.

Are you a graduate and love writing code? We need people to develop creative technical solutions to create new games, gamified real world challenges and artificial intelligent “bots”.

AI Gaming develop in a variety of languages including C#, python and java.

Responsibilities

  • Break down popular games and interesting logic puzzles into the logical rules that control the game.
  • Prove the control and play of the games using the rules you have devised
  • Take responsibility for existing games and their rules
  • Develop “bots” to play the games and solve the logic puzzles you and the other developers at AI Gaming have created.
  • Coach less experienced programmers
  • Analyse and fix bugs detected by the quality control teams
  • Contribute to the collaboration and communication of the development team with the Lead Developer
  • Support the Lead Developer in any ad hoc tasks and duties.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Passionate about playing, understanding and making games and logic puzzles.
  • Interested in A.I., gamification and competitive coding with examples of personal projects in these areas
  • Experience of coding in any of the areas of gaming, optimisation, recognition or prediction.
  • Excellent at coding RESTful solutions.
  • Knowledge of common algorithms, data structures and patterns and the ability to incorporate them quickly and efficiently in the code you develop.
  • Excellent coding skills in either C#, Python or Java with the ability to use your coding knowledge to pick up new languages as necessary.
  • Skills in any of the following areas would help you stand out in this role:
    • AWS
    • Windows Server/Linux
    • Microservices
    • CI Continuous Integration
    • Git
  • Be able to work with existing code bases to understand and extend its functionality.
  • Have knowledge and practical experience of Unit Testing and Source Code Control.
  • Able to plan and estimate their own tasks and ensure timely delivery of work
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject or equivalent industry experience

Software Test & QA


We are looking for someone to setup a Selenium Webdriver Test Environment with Continuous Integration and test scripts written in Python. Do you want to be the person to set up our Software Test & QA?

Job Description

Can you create and run a Selenium Webdriver automated test suite? At AI Gaming we develop front end web code and web sites as well as object oriented and functional applications. We want to implement great test practices while the team is still relatively small and control our code as our team grows.

AI Gaming currently have on site development resources as well programmers and development teams that work remotely. There are multiple projects across different teams that require you to design, maintain and conduct testing regimens.

Skills and Knowledge

All applicants must have proven skills in

  • Selenium Webdriver
  • Postman and REST API testing
  • Python
  • Jenkins
  • A track record of using the above

Responsibilities

You’ll work closely with product and software development teams to understand the products, followed by running test units to uncover bugs and improve the quality of the finished product.

  • Setting up an automated test environment
  • Preparing test plans and scripts
  • Writing and executing test scripts
  • Running manual and automated tests
  • Testing in different environments including web and mobile
  • Writing bug reports
  • Reporting defects to software development team
  • Running functional, stress, scalability and load tests
  • Maintain test logs and bug/problem repositories
  • KPI, Bug and QA reporting

Chief Technical Officer


This important role includes building our UK based development team as we grow, as well as coordinating with our teams in the Ukraine and India. You will also be responsible for managing our QA, release process and specifying new functionality on our system. As a senior manager, you will participate in evolving the strategic direction of our company as we grow, representing us technically with user groups, customers and investors.

Outreach Officer


Ideal candidates would be excellent at presenting and interacting with new users of our system including university students at event such as conferences and hackathons. You would be responsible for representing us at numerous events across the country, as well as engaging with our users on social media platforms and via our community pages.
